Abdullah Al Othaim Investment Company snags two trophies at Real Estate Asia Awards

Abdullah Al Othaim Investment Company’s Almashreq Mall is located on King Abdulaziz Road in Hafar Al-Batin in northern Saudi Arabia. The mall’s proximity to the airport and the city centre ensures a solid shopper catchment. The leasing team has achieved 80% lease up despite its remote location. The local residents in the catchment are eagerly awaiting the opening of Almashreq Mall.

The site’s remote location, as well as the pandemic set back the delivery of construction materials and equipment. The Al Othaim team behind Almashreq Mall were able to maintain the project’s progress, with the opening now scheduled in Q4 2021.

The shopping centre is designed to accommodate over 200 stores with both international and local brands. Cafes and dining options complete the mix. A key retail anchor is the 4,400 square metre Lulu hypermarket. Ample parking is available for 2,500 vehicles.

This new development has secured the area’s first cinema experience. Empire Cinema, with a six (6) screen configuration will be a popular feature in the retail mix. Setting Almashreq Mall apart in Hafar Al-Batin are the Al Othaim award winning amusement centres, Saffori Land and Splash Water Park occupying an area of 18,700 square metres.

Almashreq mall is expected to have a traffic count of five (5) million visitors annually.
